UPDATE ! GG500 – READY FOR RESERVATION AND USE
Dear NMR community
GG500 instrument is ready for use again. Please note the following :
- Topshim is working nominally. For deuterium based lock solvents, which means the majority of them, the shimming happens along the Z-axis only (known fact and a feature of the spectrometer hardware).
- You can start Topshim after loading the default starting shim set by entering the following on the Topspin command line : rsh iProbe
- It is imperative that you touch up at least the X and Y shims to get dramatic improvement in resolution.
- Barring the class of J-Young tubes, we advise you to spin all your samples to get the best possible resolution.
- Your respective datafiles will be slowly populated as we transfer them from the old system starting today.
- The files are available for download via the FTP://phoenix.chem.washington.edu site, as before.
Please let us know of any issues you encounter and we will try to resolve it immediately.
thank you for your patience and understanding.
