Edit to previous comment: after re-locking and shimming 4+ times, topshim was completed.
Wouldn’t shim. Lock worked, but whenever I typed in topshim I get the error message: “field map – signal-to-noise is too low” but I was able to shim on the AV 500 without issue just before.
I’m not sure if this is a big deal, but the wobb curve was oscillating rapidly (even after adjustments at the probe) and was not very smooth (see attached picture).
Tried to take phosphorous NMR and the tune/match for 1H did not tune/match. Typed “phosph”, waited for 10-15 min while tune/match for 31P worked in 3 seconds, 1H did not seem to be able to tune/match (couldn’t find Wobb peak or something). Typed “stop” and then “ATMM” which also did not work, the tune/match did not proceed past 31P.
The instrument said it was done locking but topshim would not work and an error message would pop up saying lock wasn’t done. I tried locking four times but topshim never worked.
After the lock process success, “Topshim” failed due to the lock off and ask to lock in before the shim with two samples in CDCl3 solvent.
topshim fails due to a signal to noise ratio error. This occurred with 2 samples on the AV301. Both samples gave fine spectra and had no issues with topshim on the AC300.
Correction to comment: ATMA proton say they fail. On all 3 samples in CDCl3 Topshim couldn’t be ran on one sample, but it may have been very dilute. Lock is working everything else seems to be working
Proton and ATMA failing
It said that I needed to lock before shimming even though I locked already. I tried multiple times.
