Unable to lock on CDCl3

Would not topshim on a sample in DMF-d7, said signal to noise too low. Also, the first time I tried ATMA, got the error :channel can’t be wobbled with this probe
I typed ATMA again and it worked the second time.
It’s taking multiple attempts to lock cdcl3. I’ve been tracking with lockdisp to make sure it locks before I shim and it just says job finished without actually locking to the solvent.
Cannot topshim in CD3CN. Repeating attempts using the same sample gave different errors: signal-to-noise, too many points lost, BSMS issue.
Lock said it completed successfully, but topshim said that lock was needed. Redoing the lock fixed this
Was able to shim but shimming didn’t work well at all.
topshim failed repeatedly w/ CD3CN solvent – “field map – signal-to-noise is too low
