Computer completely closed Topspin while running proton experiment. Able to reload Topspin, but then can’t run an experiment (wobb, lock etc.) Says that an an experiment is currently running, but nothing has been loaded.

  • Rajan Paranji says:

I could not reproduce the login error you mentinoed. Please check if your disk quota is getting full.

  • Kelli Takaki says:

I could not log on. The program froze after entering my password

  • Johanna Blacquiere says:

    The dummy sample tube broke

  • toni says:

the AV500 isn’t communicating with the printer; can’t print spectra from xwin plot

  • Kathleen Olivas says:

carbon was running fine, was watching the acquisition, and then after about 600 scans, the big noise blob in the center of the spectrum appeared… it’s back….

  • Paul Miller says:

I witnessed the “block” readout, but within a few seconds returned to normal display. I will do a reset of the keypad when instrument is not in use. Please re-post if the malfunction returns. Thanks.

  • Mike Larsen says:

The display on the BSMS board seems to be malfunctioning – the first few “spaces” on the left are only showing red blocks. You can still see numerical values on the right when you shim, and it doesn’t seem to affect anything other than the display screen. It’s probably not that big of a deal, but thought I’d point it out.

  • Paranji says:

We looked into it. The VT system is working fine. The sample spinner is getting hot due to the excessive heat dissipated by the room temperature shim system. Steps to mitigate this are being explored.

  • Caroline Saouma says:

The software reads that the temp is 298 K, and edte shows that a HT correction is being applied. But my samples always come out of the probe hot- something I don’t notice on the 499 or 300, and didn’t used to notice on the 500. Changing the temp correction to another HT one doesn’t change this.
