    Lock still unavailable (I’m running without a lock solvent, but got the same error when logging as Kate). Shimming on the lineshape in gs seems to work fine to get around this problem in the meantime.

    Lockdisp command not working. Error message says locked by process 7189 and a second window says no acquisition hardware available.

    The VT system on the 499 has been restored to working order. The root of the issue was a users failure to properly warm the VT system after a low temp run, or just basic negligence with the glass joint on the dewar. PLEASE be fully aware of what the condition of the VT system is before you move components. If you are unsure or wish to have a quick reminder session on the use of the VT system on the 499 please contact me and I will be very glad to get you up to speed. The parts on these systems are old, difficult to repair, and expensive to replace. Thank you.

    DRX499 VT system is out of order until further notice. Please leave at 298 K until system is fixed. Thank you.

    Could not perform a low-temp NMR expt. The cool house air could not cool the probe below 298 K. Giving the ground glass joint time to fully warm to RT and trying again was unsuccessful. Additionally, could not cool the probe below 0 C with the aid of LN2, and the probe would not cool back down to 298 K when it was warmed to 307 K (as a test to see if the heater would work).

    DRX499 functionality has been restored. Use as normal.

    Having the same issues as Caroline and Mycah, same error messages.

    the command lockdisp did not work even after logging out and logging back in.

    the command lockdisp did nothing, no lock window would appear. I tried logging out and logging back in, that works on 300 and 301, but did not work in this case.

    Can’t collect any data. Or lock or do anything for that matter (other than eject). I get a lot of errors including:

    “Error opening spect:/dev/tty03 locked by process 945”

    and

    “No acquisition hardware available for:: 128.95.xxx.xxx”

    Logging out/back in didn’t help.
