NOTE ! AV500 – LOCK IS WORKING OK
The lock problem noticed by users is because of a non-optimal value of lock phase. Normally the AutoLock routine tries to adjust this value within a range but once it falls outside of this, lock fails and manual intervention is necessary. That is done now and everything should be normal.
Please note that Topshim on low sensitivity lock solvents such as CDCl3 may fail occassionally due to the weak output from the circuit board, which we will be replacing soon. (Please refer to my last post on this).
If that happens, you can simply lock on the decoy sample (H2O+D2O) and do a 1D Topshim and then run your sample with CDCl3. What you will need is a minimal touch up on the low order shims such as Z, Z2, X and Y, by hand.
