ALERT ! AV500 – TOPSHIM OCCASIONAL ISSUES

Since the majority of lock solvents used for routine NMR on this instrument are fully dueterated, for those users, the Topshim routine heavily relies on the ability to get good 2H NMR signal response from the hardware.

Following reports of sporadic failure of Topshim, I have done a bit of deeper digging and there is definitely some subtle level issue that might explain this inconsistent behavior. We will work on this to its logical conclusion and at that point I will post a summary.  I just wanted to let you know that we are aware of this issue with Topshim.

Stay tuned
