Dear Users

There was a hard drive related problem that led to the abrupt shut down and return to the rescue screen of the system, as reported via a log post today morning.    The main problem was identified and isolated so that the system is back to normal operation.

All of you who have UDRIVE storage, therefore, will notice nothing unusual. Data will go to the cloud storage as before.  But the small group of external users who do not have a UDRIVE allocation,  will be immediately affected since the fall back we had provided to store your data is related to this issue.

Such external users please try to use other instruments in the meanwhile and if you must access AV300, please contact me before you plan  your run.   Also, we will provide a permanent solution to this and give an update on that soon.
