We are working actively to resolve the issue and will post an update once the task is competed.  Other than the ‘udrive’ mounting problem, we are also aware of the acquisition error messages that was noticed by users. The current 1H sensitive TXI-HCN probe will give way to the BBO-Z-gradient probe.  This probe is optimized for X-nuclei but also capable of 1H observe. The Lock system has developed an issue and we are still in the diagnostics stage. Until this is fixed, the instrument is not available for use.  I will post any useful updates as it becomes available. Thank you for your understanding. NMR Facility Manager 5/16/2018

The backup chiller is provided in the interim, with which you can reach about -10 C on the lower side and the high T limit remains as before. Further updates will be provided once we make progress on the original chiller problem. NMR Facility Manager 5/11/2018

The surrogate chiller unit is in place and the sample VT control is back in operation.  Please post a message in the log book if you notice anything unusual.  With the setup, users should be able to reach about +5C comfortably. The VT air chiller unit is not functioning as expected and as a result, you cannot reach nominal temperatures below room temperatures as of now.  Although you can operate in the high temperature range, the stability will be poorer than (+/-)0.1 deg. Please note that the extreme chiller unit is malfunctioning again and we have provided a backup chiller that can take your sample to 0 deg. C and not below.   Currently we don’t have an estimate of when the low temperature capability using the default chiller will become available.  I will post an update sometime tomorrow […]
