  • Jack says:

Consistently getting topshim failed- too many points lost during fit. Across multiple samples in DMSO and CD3CN.

  • Ashe says:

Giving entirely flat 1H spectrum (no peaks just baseline) in MeOD. Likely faulty lock/shimming? Sample looks good on GG500 so not a sample issue.

  • Jack says:

More on the lock issue: after performing “lock” on solvent, I had to enter “lock on” to actually get it to initialize. Topshim/ scan collection was fine after that in both CD3CN and DMSO-d6.

  • Adelaide Levenson says:

topshim cannot be completed due to lock failure

“PrepareLock- lock is off: please lock in prior to shimming”

  • Phuong Le says:

Lock was failed, so topshim cannot be done.

  • Kathleen says:

topshim failed repeatedly, sample successfully locked onto CD3CN prior. Topshim error said signal to noise was too low – signal loss for long echo time

  • Jack says:

After running 2 samples fine, on the 3rd sample no commands worked after injection, I got random errors, and then command input stopped doing anything. Console panel says “BSMS Protocol violation” followed by ” BSMS VME Timeout”. Sample could not be ejected.

  • Progya says:

Sorry, I meant dummy sample wasn’t coming off when I tried “eject”

  • Progya says:

NMR sample holder didn’t come off when I tried to eject and put my sample
Not sure whether previous user noticed something weird.

  • alex says:

not ejecting. giving repeated spin rate error
