REMINDER (2) : GG500 – SOFTWARE INTERFACE POLL

Dear Users

For those of you who missed some action on what this title implies, here is a quick link to bring you up to speed.

We have a brand new BBFO fully automated probe (i.e. automatic tuning/matching, locking/shimming)  that is ready to replace the aging TXO-1H-19F probe that is coupled to the GG500 console.

Prior to switching the system to this probe, I wanted to find out if you will prefer :

  1. Traditional Topspin Interface
  2. Routine Spectroscopy interface that is currently driving the GG500
  3. Full Automation suite, very similar to what is driving NEO500

with the new probehead.

This is basically a two question survey :

  • Which of the above three you prefer
  • a sentence or two about your motivation for the choice.

Send a mail to rajanp@uw.edu

SO FAR :

There has been fifteen responses so far in a period of two weeks.  I see that there were at least sixty unique individuals who have accessed the GG500 in the past two months alone.

We cannot keep this process open-ended and deny ourselves the advantages of a new hardware.  So, if you want your voice to be heard, now is the time.  Unless there is some vociferous (and reasonable) objection, we will close this poll by the end of this week.  Come Monday, we will start preparing the transition to the new probe.

Please send a note to me or Adrienne if you have specific concerns.
