ALERT ! ALL NMR SYSTEMS RESET AFTER POSSIBLE POWER DISRUPTION

Though I haven’t heard of specific reports, all the NMR consoles in Rm:37 evidently underwent some voltage fluctuation, possibly anytime over the weekend. All the log posts of today morning are related to this.  The systems have been reset to their usable condition now. NMR Facility Manager 9/18/2017

ALERT ! SYSTEMS RESTORED – AFTER POWER FLUCTUATION

The apparent Lock anomaly noted with AV300 has also been found with AV301 and possibly DRX499.  Apparent line voltage fluctuations were reported today and similar to last week, that could be cause of the Lock disruption.  The 300-s are restored to normal operation as we speak and I am checking that DRX499 is functioning as […]

UPDATE – AV301 : Broken probe parts – system still down

Fragile Quartz insert tube inside the probe is found to be broken and that is the cause of the lineshape anomalies users have noticed recently.   We will replace the broken part as soon as feasible, shim up the probe again and release it for use.  Currently I don’t have an estimate but I will provide […]

UPDATE : AV301 – ALTERNATE PROBE IS BEING READIED

As we announced a week earlier, the ATMA probe is pulled out for servicing the dysfunctional X-channel.  The backup BBI probe is being shimmed up and getting ready and we hope that it will be available by the end of the day. Two important points :   This legacy probe DOES NOT HAVE ATMA ! […]
