DRX499 : UPDATE – OPERATIONAL WITH LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY
The spectrometer with the TXO probe is operational fully with 1H and 13C channels. The 19F is not yet ready for prime use as I write this and I will post an update once that issue is resolved as well. The instrument is open for regular use, with the above caveat.

UPDATE : DRX499 – AVAILABLE FOR USE
Many of the issues on the drx499 users have noticed in the past two weeks were due to a faulty board. This board has been replaced and the console is now fully functional. A test run shows normal operation. Please contact Adrienne (amr0311@uw.edu) or Rajan (paranji@chem.washington.edu) with questions.

UPDATE : DRX499 – AWAITING REPLACEMENT CIRCUIT BOARD
A faulty ADC board is recognized to be the most probable cause of problems and an order for its replacement was placed with instructions for expedited shipping. We will update the status once the board arrives and we test it out in the system.

ALERT ! : DRX499 – SYSTEM DOWN – HARDWARE MALFUNCTION
The receiver amplifier is suspect and is giving rise to glitches along the spectral range. Some users had already reported the ‘wobb’ curve showing peculiar noisy features that is also traced to this cause. The replacement/repair options of the board are being explored and we will try to fix this as soon as feasible. Until […]

AV301 : NOTE On PROBE CHANGE
Following the stuck sample tube incident, a troubleshooting attempt of the ATMA – PABBI probe led to an unfortunate damage to the probe and it is being sent to Bruker for repairs. This is the reason behind the hurried replacement in this instrument, with the TXO-19F {1H,13C} triple resonance probe. If you have further questions […]

AV500 – TOPSHIM – NOTE ON AUTOMATIC SHIMMING
There are still some pending calibration operations with the TXO-19F probe that was put in yesterday and this makes the Topshim automatic shimming unusable currently. As you may be aware, there’s been an impact on available NMR time due to probe issues on other instruments. To minimize this, we will keep using the TXO-19F {1H,13C} […]

UPDATE ! DRX499 – LOCK SYSTEM RESTORED
Users should be able to lock on the solvents as usual. Please use the default shim file stdbbi and shim up at least the minimal lower order shims to get a good lineshape.
