DRX499 : ALERT – BBI PROBE HANDICAP
Some of the capacitors inside the BBI probe are de-rating and this leads to the following behavior. Whenever a gradient based experiment is performed, the pulse gradients affect the tuning and matching of the probe such that the wobb curve will be way off at the end of the experiment, leading to poor or no […]

AV301 : UPDATE – 1H {19F, 13C} probe ready for use
Please remember to load the standard shim file stdtxd before you begin shimming. Pay attention to the fact that the RF cable should be switched from the 13C connector on the probe to 19F connector, when you perform 19F direct detection. Please leave the cable back in 13C position once you are done. Contact facility […]

AV500 : 31P MACRO FUNCTIONAL
Users who are used to typing ‘phosph’ and load the standard 31P {1H} decoupled parameter set are invited to use the same once again. The glitch that was preventing the pulse widths and power levels being loaded is remedied. Any observation you make to the contrary will be much appreciated as a log post.

AV301 UPDATE : LINESHAPE OPTIMIZED
The lineshape distortions following the probe swap are addressed now. Users are requested to load the default shim file ‘stdtxd’ before they run their NMR. It is important to note that you must shim at the minimum the Z, Z2, X, Y gradients to get an acceptable lineshape. The default shim file only guarantees the optimum […]

ALERT ! AV500 UPDATE : UWNetid FUNCTIONAL – AGAIN
Users are requested to note that they can user their UWNetid login as before to operate the NMR spectrometer. A new operating system platform has been installed to address the vexing problem of Netid login failure. This transition should provide trouble free UWNetid login as well as a smooth execution of all the Topspin automation […]
