AV301 : UPDATE – 1H{13C} probe as replacement

The 19F probe is temporarily replaced with a double resonance 1H {13C} probe. It is estimated to be three weeks before the 19F probe is active in AV301 again.  We will keep the user base updated of any change in this schedule.

AV300 : ALERT ! – INTERMITTENT LOCK PROBLEM

A sporadic malfunction in one of the circuit boards is causing the Lock system to behave unreliably, irrespective of the solvent you use.  A firmware reset of the board restores functionality.  The troubleshoot will be a prolonged operation due to the sporadic nature of the problem.  As of now, the Lock system is functional and […]

AV301 : ALERT ! LINESHAPE DETERIORATION

Preliminary observations indicate a possible damage to the insert glass inside the probehead. If it’s confirmed, we will replace the broken part  ASAP but, further shimming of the probe will be necessary to bring the lineshape to usable spec.  Look for further updates in this space.

AV500 – UPDATE : LOW VT STATUS

A low level liquid N2 sensor in the LN2 evaporator assembly is damaged.   We are trying to get this replacement part as soon as possible and bring the system’s low VT capability back on track.  Further updates will be posted when the status quo changes.

CORRECTION ! – LOW VT SYSTEM MALFUNCTION ON AV500 AND NOT DRX499

Sorry for the typo in my message earlier but the low VT system is down only in AV500 and not the DRX499. Please take note.

DRX499 : ALERT – LOW VT SYSTEM NON-FUNCTIONAL

Due to the liquid Nitrogen evaporator assembly malfunction, users cannot perform low T experiments that are below 0 C.  The hardware is being looked into and an update will be posted in due course.

DRX499 : ALERT – BBI PROBE HANDICAP

Some of the capacitors inside the BBI probe are de-rating and this leads to the following behavior.  Whenever a gradient based experiment is performed, the pulse gradients affect the tuning and matching of the probe such that the wobb curve will be way off at the end of the experiment, leading to poor or no […]
