UPDATE ! AV500 — SYSTEM IS FULLY OPERATIONAL

Users can start booking time on the instrument immediately. The probehead is the same as before i.e. BBI – Z-gradient.  The issue with this probe has been resolved. Topshim has been tested and working correctly both in 1D and 3D modes. Please contact Adrienne or myself, if you have any questions.   Sorry of this long […]

NOTE ! AV500 – LOCK IS WORKING OK

The lock problem noticed by users is because of a non-optimal value of lock phase. Normally the AutoLock routine tries to adjust this value within a range but once it falls outside of this, lock fails and manual intervention is necessary.  That is done now and everything should be normal. Please note that Topshim on […]

AV300 – UPDATE ! DATA STORAGE PARTITION IS MOVED

If users recall, we place special emphasis on the fact that you should download your datasets then and there and don’t leave it on the NMR computer.   A good validation of that occurred yesterday as I found that the external hard drive storing NMR data crashed with mechanical failure.    As a result, you won’t see […]

ATTENTION ! AV301 UPDATE : GRADIENTS AND TOPSHIM OPERATIONAL

The new gradient capability is fully functional.   Combined with the ATMA feature of the porbehead,  users can do everything from the computer desktop, including shimming using TOPSHIM.  PROBE TUNING :   After inserting sample and setting up the correct dataset, just enter atma on the command line.  Wait for the auto tuning/matching to complete. SHIMMING :    Topshim […]

NOTE ON AV301 – PABBI PROBEHEAD AND SHIM

As already mentioned, the new gradient upgrade is designed to function with only the ATMA-BBI probe, as currently there are no other 300 MHz probes that feature gradient capability.  So, the probehead has been changed to PABBI and the probe ID card on the console lists the shim file to load and use along with the […]

UPDATE – DRX499 – INSTRUMENT RELEASED FOR USE WITH TXO PROBE

The BBO probe has been found to have multiple hardware issues which are being addressed.  To get to back to productive runs,  we have placed the earlier TXO – 19F,13C {1H} – Z gradient probe for regular use.  I would like to point out that the non-spinning shims are not upto the best spec but […]
