AV301 UPDATE : INSTRUMENT READY FOR USE (AGAIN…)

Users !  Please take a few moments to focus on sample insertion sequence, confirm that the sample is seated properly in the NMR magnet and then start zipping off with your experiments.  Remember, one person’s haste can cost lot of lost instrument time for the entire user base. ALERT : AV301 DOWN DUE TO USER ERROR

A user has dropped a NMR sample tube without the spinner and lift air, into the magnet bore.  As a result the spectrometer is not immediately useable.  The issue will be resolved by Tuesday, April, 2nd and a follow up will be posted here.

AV301 : PROBE HEAD PROBLEM – SYSTEM DOWN

A possible breakage inside the probe makes the system unusable as of now.  The matter is being looked into.  An alternative solution will be provided as soon as feasible.
