AV500 : PRINTING UPDATE

Users can now do both an ‘active screen’ dump to the printer as well as bring up XWINPLOT program and plot the spectra via that route.  Please post a comment in the log if you observe anything otherwise.

AV800 : CRYOPROBE WALK-ON TIME AVAILABLE

Users who want to utilize the 800 MHz cryoprobe facility during the walk-on period next week between 22nd and 24th should contact the facility manager with your specific needs by the end of today, 19th Oct ’12.  The slots will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

AV500: Automation Scripts Functional

All the stock Bruker au programs, such as multizg, multi_zgvt, multi_zgvd, etc.  are operational once again. If users have their own au scripts, they should compile automatically, the first time you invoke them.   If you face any difficulty, please contact the facility manager.

AV301 : SAMPLE SPINNING ISSUE

A possible blockage in the pneumatic system is causing the sample not to spin correctly.  Related to this is the fact that, the BSMS keyboard might indicate the sample as ‘missing’, even when the sample is seated inside.    The shim stack needs to be removed to clear this problem. AV500 : automation scripts not working

Familiar automation scripts such as ‘xaua’ are not functioning as expected.  This is being looked into.  Please use workarounds that are viable. For instance, ‘xaua’ can be replaced with ‘rga’ followed by ‘zg’.   Please contact facility staff for assistance with this.

AV300, AV500: PRINTING OK

The long standing problem of not able to print spectra from either the Topspin window or with the xwinPlot, plot editor program is now resolved. For routine use, you can use Ctrl-P  to print whatever is displayed in a active Topspin window to the printer, without the necessity of starting the plot editor.

DRX499 : VT SYSTEM UPDATE : PLEASE READ

AV300 : SYSTEM READY FOR USE

The system is ready to go.  Due to an ‘operator error’  i.e. oversight from myself, the reservation calendar was blocked till now.  That is taken care of and users can book the times as usual.  Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
